Lakes Entrance Helicopters (LEH) is a premier provider of helicopter services in the East Gippsland region offering a range of Scenic Flights, Heli-Experiences, Charters and tailored helicopter services for events and special occasions. Scenic Flights and Heli-Experiences are conducted from the Lakes Entrance Airfield at Kalimna West, East Gippsland.

Our focus is for the whole engagement from start to finish to be the best possible experience to make your time with us enjoyable, memorable and totally amazing.

Our small dedicated team are passionate, professional and friendly. We pride ourselves in going above and beyond to make your flight unique, informative and personable resulting in unparalleled memories.

We fly a large number of “Bucket List” passengers who share in the awesomeness of the experience. The thrill for first time flyers is wonderful and rewarding to see especially when captured with photos to reminisce and share with family and friends. We have world class views of vast and unique inland waterways. Providing helicopter services to the area enables us to showcase our own backyard.

Please be aware there are two privately owned airfields at Lakes Entrance, being:

  • Lakes Entrance Airfield (YLKE)
  • Great Lakes Airfield (YGRL)

Lakes Entrance Helicopters operates from YLKE.

About the Gippsland Lakes

The Entrance is a man made channel, situated on Ninety Mile Beach, that links Bass Strait and the Tasman Sea with a network of inland waterways, coastal lagoons, lakes and swamps, known as the Gippsland Lakes. Three major lakes; Lake Victoria (Gunai: Toonallook), Lake King (Gunai: Ngarrang) and Lake Wellington (Gunai: Murla) cover approximately 354 sq kms and are collectively fed by seven major rivers; Avon, Perry, Latrobe, ThomsonMitchell, Nicholson and Tambo rivers. The uniqueness and vastness of this inland waterways and the Ninety Mile Beach are best viewed from the air with Lakes Entrance Helicopters.
