Terms and Conditions

All Flights

  1. Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  2. All flights are subject to a minimum of 2 passengers.
  3. Our helicopters have a maximum individual passenger weight of 130kg.
  4. All flights are subject to weather and air traffic control. The Pilot In Command has the final word over the flight.

Scenic Flights

  1. Our helicopters have a total passenger weight of 275kg.
  2. Our helicopters have 4 seats and carry 3 passengers. One infant under the age of 3 may be carried on an adult lap free of charge.
  3. Groups with 4 or more passengers will become multiple flights. Keep this in mind when booking online as multiple bookings can be added to the cart.

Heli Experiences

  1. Children must be 12 years and older for HeliSUP.
  2. Reconfirmed by LEH staff the day before. Prior payment may be required.
  3. Flight time may be extended or path altered at extra cost provided safe to do so and dependant on available fuel or all up weight of fuel and passengers.

Charters

  1. Charter costs are based on the total flight time, typically from Lakes Entrance Airfield, irrespective of passenger numbers.
  2. Charter costs may also include additional resources, companies and third party arrangements such as landing fees and/or ground support.
  3. Charter bookings that require additional resources, companies and third party arrangements may be subject to non-refundable charges. Please enquire at time of booking.

Redeeming Gift Certificates

  1. Gift Certificates are no longer available for purchase. The expiry date for last Gift Certificates sold is 31-Dec-2025.
  2. Each Gift Certificate purchased is either valid for 2 or 3 people.
  3. A 3rd person may be added at time of booking (at extra cost).
  4. Gift Certificates may be upgraded at time of booking for longer flight (at extra cost).
  5. Gift Certificates are NOT redeemable for cash.
  6. Gift Certificates are valid for a period of 3 years (36 months) from date of purchase or 31-Dec-2025, whichever comes first.
  7. Reactivation of expired Gift Certificates is at the discretion of staff and if approved may be subject to an additional fee.
  8. The Experience may be substituted for an equivalent Experience of the same value if the current Experience is unavailable.
  9. Bookings are highly recommended to redeem a Gift Certificate to ensure your preferred date and time are available.

Equipment

  1. Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and excludes shipping.
  2. Road Freight costs are based on the State shipping address provided during checkout. Orders are only shipped within Australia.
  3. Orders can be submitted online or by email. Either way, products are not shipped until payment is received.
  4. Our products are made to order, so allow up to 6 weeks for delivery. Please Contact Us if you have urgent supply and delivery requirements as we may have stock. We are located in East Gippsland, Victoria.
  5. Our products are guaranteed to be free from quality and manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months.
  6. Product Warranty and Support are provided by Victoria Helicopters Pty Ltd, PO Box 834, Bairnsdale, Vic 3875.

In Office Payment, Cancellation & Refund

Our In Office payment, cancellation and refund policies are very straight forward. You pay on the day at the airfield using cash or credit card. You can cancel anytime prior to scheduled departure without penalty and refunds are processed using the same payment method (cash or credit card). In Office payment using presented card includes the Transaction Surcharge in the total price.

Payment

  1. Payment by cash or credit card at the airfield on the day of flight.
  2. Scenic Flights and Heli Experiences are paid prior to scheduled departure.
  3. Charter Flights have the option of post flight payment using cash, credit card, PayID or invoice.

Cancellation

  1. A booking may be cancelled anytime prior to scheduled departure.
  2. Cancellation of a flight due to weather conditions called by the pilot or unavailability of aircraft or staff will receive the option of rescheduling the flight or a full refund.

Refund

  1. Refund requests are only accepted on the day of flight and processed using the same payment method.
  2. Once the flight departs a refund is no longer available, even if a customer requests an early return to base.

Online Payment, Cancellation & Refund using PayID

PayID allows you to use a mobile number, email address, ABN or Organisation Identifier as a way to make fast payments. Your bank will let you know which PayID types are available to you. PayID does not attract a Transaction Surcharge and is the preferred method for online payment.

Payment

  1. Lakes Entrance Helicopters (administered by Victoria Helicopters Pty Ltd) uses a PayID email address displayed in the shopping cart and booking receipt. Payment is made by you upon completing the online shopping cart. Please use the Order Number as the PayID reference number.

Cancellation

  1. A booking may be cancelled anytime prior to scheduled departure.
  2. Cancellation of a flight due to weather conditions called by the pilot or unavailability of aircraft or staff will receive the option of rescheduling the flight or a full refund.

Refund

  1. Refund requests are processed using the same payment method.
  2. Once the flight departs a refund is no longer available, even if a customer requests an early return to base.

Online Payment, Cancellation & Refund using Credit or Debit Card

Unfortunately, online Credit or Debit card payments attract a higher Transaction Surcharge from our payment gateway provider, Square AU Pty Ltd. This non-refundable 2.2% (2.25% accumulated) Transaction Surcharge is payable for all online Credit or Debit Card payments.  If you do not wish to pay this Transaction Surcharge, select the PayID option. We do not accept AfterPay (a subsidiary of Square Inc / Block Inc) due to the excessively high Transaction Surcharge.

Note: As at 01-Jan-2024, Online Payment using Credit or Debit card has been disabled.

Payment

  1. A Transaction Surcharge of 2.25% (accumulated) is added to online or over the phone Credit or Debit Card payments.
    Example: $330 x 1.0225 = $337.43.

Cancellation

  1. A booking may be cancelled anytime prior to scheduled departure.
  2. Cancellation of a flight due to weather conditions called by the pilot or unavailability of aircraft or staff, customers will receive an option of rescheduling the flight or a full refund, including the 2.25% Transaction Surcharge.

Refund

  1. Refund requests are processed using the same payment method.
  2. Once the flight departs a refund is no longer available, even if a customer requests an early return to base.
  3. Online or over the phone Credit or Debit Card transaction refund will be less the 2.25% Transaction Surcharge.
    Example: Total amount paid online is $337.43, refund amount is $330.00.
